Buying industrial ventilation products as a supplier or distributor

If you are sourcing rather than installing, the questions are different: who makes the product, what can be customized, what the minimum order is, how samples are handled, and what documentation ships with the goods. This section answers those directly so a distributor, wholesaler or project buyer can qualify us without a first call.

A manufacturer, not a trading reseller

Products are made in our own factory under the CHIC Group manufacturing operation, which is ISO-certified. That matters when you are the one reselling: the party answering for airflow figures, noise ratings and compliance is the party that builds the unit, so model data, changes and corrective action all sit in one place instead of being relayed through a middle layer.

OEM / ODM and private label

OEM and ODM work is handled on a per-project basis. Typical customization covers branding on the unit and packaging, voltage and plug configuration for the destination market, control and wiring options, and model naming. Because the tooling and the assembly line are ours, changes are quoted against a specific model rather than in the abstract. Send the target model, the market and the customization you need, and we will confirm what is feasible for that unit.

Minimum order, samples and lead time

Minimum order quantity and lead time depend on the model family, the configuration and the order volume, so they are confirmed per enquiry rather than published as one blanket number. That is deliberate: quoting a fixed MOQ for a container of dehumidifiers and a sample run of air curtains would be misleading. Send the model, quantity and destination and you will get the specific minimum, the production window and the shipping route for that order.

Sampling is available as a first step for evaluation and listing. For a distributor building a range, it is normally more efficient to start from the product selection hub and shortlist two or three families, then request samples for those rather than single units across the catalogue.

Compliance documentation you can pass on

Compliance is usually the blocking item when a distributor lists a new product, so the documents are published openly rather than withheld until a contract is signed. The certification and compliance centre holds the CE, RoHS, UKCA, RED, FCC and IEC documents for the ranges that carry them, and each entry states the scope it applies to.

Practical point for resellers: check the certificate scope against the exact model you intend to list. A certificate issued for one size in a series does not automatically cover every size, and buyers who check will ask. Where a document is not published for a model, request it with the model number rather than assuming it exists.

Sourcing enquiries move fastest when they arrive complete. Include:

• Product family or model, and the destination market
• Quantity for the first order and the expected annual volume
• Voltage, frequency and plug type required
• Customization needed: branding, packaging, control, labelling
• Compliance documents required for listing
